Using the very latest version of ChatGPT desktop app with the new o1 model, it doesn’t know anything about Sora. Seems like, at the very least, a marketing fail.
Because ChatGPT knowledge cut off 2023 October, it does not know SORA. Also o1 model cannot access to internet. If it can access internet like 4o it could find info.
If you ask it to GPT 4o without search, it cannot know SORA. But if it uses web search, It knows only in your chat.
Openai’s claims about the reasoning abilities of their o1 model are broad and significant. What would be the conclusion of such an advanced reasoning model?
“My knowledge about the existence of OpenAI tools and services is limited to things introduced prior to October, 2023. Perhaps Sora was introduced after that time?”
But instead, it acts like it knows everything. That’s not advanced reasoning. And this is a simple example.
