Hybrid Mode in ChatGPT as a botton option mode

Hello, OpenAI team!

I would like to suggest implementing a Hybrid Mode in ChatGPT, where the AI not only provides answers but also asks questions to stimulate a more interactive conversation. This feature would be extremely useful for teachers, educators, children, and older adults, making the experience more engaging and educational.

The idea would be to offer a menu with different interaction modes:

  • Traditional Mode: Direct answers only.
  • Hybrid Mode: Answers and asks questions to deepen the discussion.
  • Socratic Mode: Only asks questions, guiding users toward critical thinking.

This feature could be applied in active learning, teaching, coaching, and even personal development. Additionally, it would create a more natural experience, simulating real dialogues and encouraging reflection.

I believe this functionality would add great value to the platform and make ChatGPT even more versatile. Thank you for your attention, and I hope you consider this idea!

Best regards,
Marcos H.

You can do that. Tell it to get into a roleplay mode and ask a question and then wait for your answer and based on your answer come up with another question.

You can also tell it to not get out of that mode unless you say “leave roleplay mode”.

And you can also tell it to give you multiple answers to choose from in a numbered list.

In fact you could just copy your post and mine and then add “let’s try this”
