How is it cheaper for me, a ChatGPT Plus and MS Code user?

  1. buy additional Codex credits in Codex MS Code extension
  2. pay for API and use a third-party extension such as Kilo querying directly through an API key?

I used the weekly limit of Codex in about 2-3 days.

I correct my statement. $20 Plus plan was enough for 4 days of very difficult coding in a week. I need two times more compute, not 10x. Buying Pro for $200 would be a total waste of money in my case. So, I don’t understand the reasoning behind your comment.

Remember - rate limits of ChatGPT are doubled for a limited time (to promote the mac-only app).

i understand what you mean, i think if they had a $100 plan it’d be perfect but $200 gives you a lot more than just codex, you also get the whole chatgpt pro suite (images, sora, deep research, and more)
