This topic is for asking questions about how GPT’s work.
Anyone can use this thread to ask questions so we build up collective knowledge.

Questions asked:
Why has a successfully tested GPT suddenly forgotten everything and now ignores the uploaded instructions? Link. Answer: Multiple GPT creators have the same issue, must be a bug.
Whan GPT users click the thumbs up or thumbs down icons on a GPT response, what is the impact? Link. Answer: None.
Does chatting with my own GPT under the “Create” page fine tune it. If so, I have no record or ability to recreate this. LinkAnswer: None.
Why did uploaded instructions attached to my GPT, which was tested successfully, suddenly disappear and now shows no attachments? LinkAnswer: Multiple GPT creators have the same issue, must be a bug.
Do GPTs deplete the users quota faster than regular prompts and are there ways to be more efficient with our GPTs? LinkAnswer: None.
1. Consistency. My GPT tested successfully, but when I returned to test it again later, it had forgotten everything and completely ignored my uploaded instructions. Why would that happen and how can I ensure some level of consistency?
2. Feedback from GPT users. If users of my GPT click the thumbs-up or thumbs-down icons when my GPT responds, does it tune my GPT to satisfy their feedback? If not, those icons can probably be removed for GPTs. If so, that gives them some control over my GPTs behaviour which should also be removed.
3. Feedback from me. Is my feedback to my GPT used to fine tune the GPT’s behaviour or are the GPT instructions strictly limited to the initial prompts and uploaded files?
Yep, we can update the instructions, files, icon etc under “Configuration”. My question is: When we interact with the “Create” option for the GPT, does that fine-tune it without us having a record or ability recreate it?
Just discovered that one of my successfully tested GPTs no longer has any uploaded file displayed. The uploaded instructions have gone and are no longer listed. The GPT is now responding like GPT4 without my provided instructions.
Update: This thread confirms multiple people have lost their uploaded GPT files.
