How did my friend mess the code up?

I’m new to Python and want to try something with the OpenAI API. My buddy sent along some output to show me how it can work. The output has messy HTML code though with every single word having code like this:
HELLO

None of the other assistant set-ups on here or GitHub have output that looks like that, so I roasted him obviously. Now, he won’t show me his code. Says he doesn’t appreciate me using him to “learn what not to do.” Can someone here let me know where he messed up, so I can avoid the same issue for my assistant and future projects?

It is quite hard to guess an error without seing his implementation, but it is probably a prompt issue. Just try to do it and you’ll learn the hard way :wink:
