How ChatGPT Helped Me Build My Dream ERP Without Being a Developer

Hello everyone,

I wanted to share my story.

I run a wedding card wholesale business in India.

I am not a programmer.

I am not a software engineer.

But I always had a dream of building an ERP exactly according to my business.

The biggest problem was never ideas.

The problem was converting those ideas into software.

Developers often misunderstood my business logic or building everything was simply too expensive.

Then I started using ChatGPT.

Today I spend hours every day designing my ERP with ChatGPT and Codex.

I review business rules.

I design workflows.

I create documentation.

I review UI.

I validate accounting flows.

I even review screenshots and code changes before approving them.

The amazing part is that ChatGPT doesn’t just generate answers.

It helps me think better.

For someone like me, this technology feels like having an experienced technical consultant available whenever I need one.

I honestly don’t know whether my ERP would ever have existed without ChatGPT.

So I simply wanted to say…

Thank you OpenAI.

You have helped one small businessman in Rajasthan dream much bigger than before.

I also have one suggestion.

Please consider an Auto Intelligence mode where ChatGPT automatically chooses the appropriate reasoning level instead of asking users to select it manually.

Thank you to everyone building this technology.

Thanks for sharing your story, @AddnShare. It's really great to hear how you've been able to turn your business ideas into something tangible, especially without coming from a software background.

Feedback like this genuinely means a lot. Hearing how ChatGPT is helping people build things they previously thought were out of reach is the kind of motivation that keeps the team pushing forward.

Your suggestion about an Auto Intelligence mode is a thoughtful one as well. I'll make sure this feedback, along with your experience using ChatGPT and Codex to build your ERP, is forwarded to the team for consideration.

Wishing you the best with your ERP project.
