I’m the developer behind ChatOCR: ChatGPT - PDF AI OCR

We have 40,000 users who use this GPT for OCR data extraction. Unfortunately, it’s broken for a lot of users despite the fact we have not made any changes in months.

Both in the Mac App and in the browser, when I use the OCR GPT, this happens:

  • After I drop a link from my ChatOCR upload, t prompts me to sign in to docit.ai, takes me to a new chrome window, I authorize, and then it brings me to a browser ChatGPT window saying I am authorized and logged in.

  • Then, it gives me a “confirm” the communication with you multiple times without doing anything else.

  • Rinse and repeat.

I’ve changed my permissions in my privacy settings, but that doesn’t seem to matter — even though that solved the problem the last time.

Has anyone been able to resolve this?

Hrm. I’d reach out to help.openai.com if you haven’t yet. Sounds like a coding bug of some sort …

Is it not working at all now or just giving errors sometimes?
