im a pro member and im using codex in visual code. After the update 5.1 codex max mini and normal is working soo bad. gpt 5 codex was great. pls dont remove it

Every time a new model comes out, we have to modify system, developer, or instruction prompts (and other changes, tweaks, and nits) and then test rigorously for weeks sometimes. This is always frustrating. As it turns out, the new models are better (sometimes much better) than the previous.
As with all software cycles, there is a thing called version control. Customers get updates.
In the world of AI, this is called progress - nothing stands still. “Nothing is constant but change” and some will get left in the dust.
Unfortunately, the reality we are facing is that we are advanced beta testers - we take it or leave it
