Subject: Feedback on Sudden Loss of GPT-4 Access Mid-Project

Message:

I’m submitting this to express deep frustration over a serious disruption caused by the sudden loss of GPT-4 access during an ongoing creative task.

I had been working for over an hour on a logo project, building toward a breakthrough moment using image upload and generation features. Just as I was making real progress—after hours of setup, testing, and prior troubleshooting—I was cut off due to invisible usage limits and downgraded to GPT-3.5. This completely halted my workflow.

There was no warning, no time indicator, no quota shown—nothing to help me pace or plan my session. I would not have committed this much time and energy had I known there was a hard limit that would leave me unable to even upload the image we were working on.

This kind of unpredictable cutoff makes GPT-4 unreliable for serious creative or professional use, especially when image tools are involved. I make music and depend on visuals for promotion—so image generation is not a luxury, it’s a need.

Please consider implementing:

Clear visual indicators of session or quota limits

Advance warnings before a downgrade occurs

Persistent access to in-progress uploads for a short grace period

More transparency around what constitutes usage limits

This experience left me feeling like I’d wasted hours of my time. I value the technology and have been building a workflow around it—but situations like this seriously undermine my confidence in using GPT for visual work.

I hope this is heard and addressed. I want to rely on GPT-4, but I need to know it won’t vanish mid-process with no warning.

Thank you.
