As a paying user of both ChatGPT Plus and now ChatGPT Teams, I’m frustrated by the lack of a direct feedback loop between users and OpenAI’s product and engineering teams.
Right now, users must go out of their way to:
- Locate the feedback button (buried in settings or the help site)
- Leave the ChatGPT app to find GitHub Discussions or a support form
- Hope their feedback is read and understood (with no visibility or confirmation)
This is deeply inefficient, especially for power users or professionals who are:
- Actively identifying bugs
- Suggesting meaningful product improvements
- Working across complex use cases like Teams, API integrations, or creative projects
Requested Feature:
Enable users to submit feature requests or bug reports directly inside a ChatGPT conversation, either by:
- Providing a built-in
/feedback
command - Adding a “Submit this conversation to OpenAI” button
- Or allowing ChatGPT to route structured feedback internally to OpenAI systems
Why This Matters:
- ChatGPT is already context-aware and often helps users articulate feedback perfectly
- Letting the assistant forward that context reduces friction and improves the quality of reports
- Users expect tools at this level to treat feedback as a core part of the experience, not a side channel
If OpenAI is serious about using ChatGPT to augment and accelerate human problem-solving, it must also close the feedback loop between the assistant and the builder.
This is a basic but high-impact feature that would increase product trust, reduce frustration, and improve iteration speed.
