Dear OpenAI Team,
I’d like to suggest a small but impactful improvement to the image library experience in ChatGPT:
Please consider adding the ability to hide or remove individual images from the image library, without requiring deletion of the entire conversation they belong to.
As a ChatGPT Plus user who shares an account with my spouse, I often find it difficult to locate my previously generated images due to the mixed content in our shared library. This becomes especially frustrating when I’m trying to browse for professional work but have to sift through unrelated or personal images.
Currently, the only way to remove an unwanted image is by deleting the entire conversation, which can also result in losing valuable text content. A more granular control would greatly improve usability.
Proposed enhancements:
Add the option to delete or hide individual images from the image library
Introduce organizational tools such as folders or tags
Provide the ability to mark images as “private” or “hidden”
These features would offer users better privacy, cleaner navigation, and a more efficient way to manage their content.
Thank you for considering this request!
