Presently, there’s no built-in way within ChatGPT to automatically reorder custom GPTs in the sidebar by usage frequency (e.g., most used at the top). The current display logic seems to prioritize most recently opened or created GPTs, not those used most often over time.
This is not helpful for power users.
I’ve built dozens of custom GPTs that serve different functions in my workflow. I’d like them to appear in user-defined groups or subgroups—essentially like a toolkit sidebar. Right now, the sidebar feels disorganized and inconsistent. My most frequently used GPTs often don’t appear at all unless I manually navigate through multiple clicks:
→ Explore GPTs → My GPTs → More → then finally find the one I need.
Suggested Improvements:
- Let users pin GPTs permanently to the sidebar
- Allow custom ordering or grouping (folders, tags, toolkits)
- Enable sorting by usage frequency (daily/weekly/lifetime)
- Add a search bar or favorites panel for fast access
Please consider adding this feature—it would significantly improve productivity and usability for creators and power users alike.
