I would like Codex to include a small, lightweight sketch pad next to the chat input.
This is not intended to be a professional diagramming tool. It would simply allow users to quickly draw a rough idea, simple layout, arrow, shape, or annotation and attach it directly to the current message.
Sometimes an idea is difficult to explain precisely in text, but can be communicated with a very simple sketch in a few seconds.
Basic tools would be enough:
- Freehand drawing
- Eraser
- Arrows
- Rectangles and circles
- Short text labels
- Paste and annotate screenshots
- Attach the sketch directly to the prompt
For example, a user could quickly show where a button should be placed, how two components interact, how a page should be arranged, or the rough direction of a data flow.
Currently, this requires opening another drawing application, creating the sketch, exporting or taking a screenshot, and uploading it back into Codex. A native sketch pad would make visual communication much faster and more natural.
