Extremely Frustrated – Locked Out of Our Workspace

I am posting this in the hope that someone from OpenAI can help move this forward.

We are a paying business customer with five Workspace licences and have spent over £1,000 on the platform. We have lost access to the Workspace Owner account for our organisation and have been unable to resolve the issue through the normal support channels.

Since first reporting the problem, we have:

  • Opened support cases.
  • Responded to requests for information.
  • Followed up on existing tickets.
  • Completed domain verification to demonstrate ownership of the organisation.
  • Attempted all available account recovery options.

Despite this, we still do not have access to the Workspace Owner account, nor have we been given a clear path to either recover access or transfer ownership to another authorised administrator.

The issue is not that we cannot access ChatGPT itself. The issue is that we do not have access to the account that owns and administers the workspace. This leaves us unable to properly manage ownership, permissions and other administrative functions for the organisation.

We are happy to provide any further evidence required, including domain ownership, billing information and company details. We have already verified our company domain as part of this process.

At this point, we are simply looking for assistance with one of the following:

  • Restoring access to the existing Workspace Owner account.
  • Transferring Workspace Ownership to an authorised administrator.
  • Clear guidance on what additional steps are required to resolve the issue.

If anyone from OpenAI is able to review or escalate this case, it would be appreciated.
