Error You have hit your openai API rate limit

Hi everyone I am using the tool by charmbracelet/mods on GitHub to make API calls, to make my life easy I have just decided to hard code the API key directly into my .zshrc however upon setting everything I am getting an error message stating:` “what is ChatGPT”

ERROR You’ve hit your openai API rate limit.

error, status code: 429, message: You exceeded your current quota, please check your plan and billing details. For more information on this error, read the docs: https://platform.openai.com/docs/guides/error-codes/api-errors.`

I remember a bug in the past, and someone mentioned it on StackOverflow. I know for a fact that this message is a bug. Can anyone who has had this issue please help me?
