Error 429 stating that I've exceeded my current quota for api access

i’ve been getting error 429 stating that I’ve exceeded my current quota for api access. tried creating a different key but got the same error. even tried using a different account and i still got the same error.

is there a way around this without paying for extra credits?

when i checked my usage on open-ai it shows this, so i’m confused as to how i actually surpassed the token limit

I think you have to increase the tier limit, aka spend more money. That worked for me!
