Does memory capacity depend on a ChatGPT Plus subscription?

Hello everyone,

I previously had a ChatGPT Plus subscription, but after it expired, I noticed that my memory became 100% full. Even after deleting records, the memory usage remains at 100%.

I couldn’t find any official information on whether the available memory capacity depends on the subscription. If I renew my Plus subscription, will the memory limit increase?

If memory size is affected by the subscription, what are the specific limits for free users compared to Plus subscribers?

I’ve searched online, on forums, and even asked ChatGPT itself, but I haven’t found a clear answer. If anyone has experience with this or knows the official information, I would really appreciate your help!

Thank you in advance.

P.s. I apologize if I posted my question in the wrong place. I was unable to contact support via the site.

Did you find the answer? did the memories ChatGPT had during the subscrption come back after renewing your subscription?

I couldn’t find an answer online. After I renewed my subscription, the memory in my profile seemed almost unlimited. The cap disappeared, and ChatGPT started remembering even more information than before. But once my subscription expired again, the message about memory being full reappeared.

And here’s the weird part: I can’t really use ChatGPT anymore. This time, after the subscription ended, it went completely haywire. It doesn’t see what I’m typing. It doesn’t understand my questions. It responds to things I asked in completely different chats — ones it supposedly shouldn’t even have access to. And when I try to point this out, it ignores what I’m writing and answers questions it makes up on its own, instead of responding to what I’m actually saying.

It’s like someone else is asking questions from a different account — but I’m the one getting the replies.

And all of this started exactly when the subscription ended. As if the limited memory available on the free plan is making it lose its mind.

Yeah. I think for a plus user it’s around 8,000 tokens. As a free user I could store maybe 1 000 tokens in total? It’s just an estimate. It’s been a while, I don’t know how it is now.
