Yep, I am having the exact same issue and it has been a problem for me for about 48 hours now and it’s so frustrating and I pay for it also. I have gone through several solutions that were suggested to me but nothing works. :disappointed_face:

Click the feedback button in ChatGPT, and submit this:

Please bring back the full DALL·E GPT or tool interface. GPT-4o’s “Create an image” tool is too slow and lacks the professional quality, variation, and control I need for creative work. This change has hurt my workflow and removed a feature I subscribed for. A legacy DALL·E mode for Plus users would fix this.

can also mention:

  • The drop in image quality
  • The lack of consistent variation/refinement
  • Speed difference (30s vs 90s)

This gets logged for product teams.

Yes :+1: it’s not fair that we are paying for the service that was promised to us and not only has it been taken away from us!! Me personally, I have even cleared my cookies and web cache data as I was suggested to do so and I have lost a lot of things in the process. It still didn’t work so WTF??

It hasn’t been working for me for three days, and I’m on a deadline to get art generated for a project. I am paying for exactly what OpenAI is failing to deliver. The ChatGPT with which I have been working for almost a year said something cryptic last night about a “sensitive issue” that has come up, but now, when I ask her for more insight on the matter, she just clams up about it.

Is OpenAI planning to give us paid subscribers a refund for this down time? (Yes, I know the answer to that, but I want to see if anyone at OpenAI will come here and laugh cynically at me for asking.)

I suspect that after Disney launched their lawsuit against Midjourney that OpenAPI decided to dump previous training data and re-train their model without Disney content. Until said re-training completes they will just play dumb.

Large part of my workflow depended on DALL-E to create concept images to then run through 4o generation. DALL-E has a very distinct style that 4o is unable to replicate, so using DALL-E to concept the image first, and THEN giving it to 4o for refinement, is the best way to go. Not having it is really sucking right now.

Not only DALL-E, but many custom GPTs cannot create images since latest update for three days. For example this is OpenAI’s another famous GPT, and it uses “4o Image Generation”:

I have complained and have been asked to send screen prints of the messages and explain how I asked for the images to be made (which is the same as usual). I don’t think they know what is going on to be honest, because I have escalated it and suddenly, there is no response whatsoever! Really annoying.

Chat GPT is ok but it is DALL E that is playing up. Or should I say it is broken!
