I’d like to suggest a feature for ChatGPT Voice Mode:
Instead of the current blue orb, users should be able to create and customize their own AI character.
Each user could choose the character they want to talk to and customize features such as:
Face and appearance
Hair and hairstyle
Eyes and facial features
Age and overall look
Clothing and style
Voice
Personality and communication style
During a voice conversation, the chosen character could appear on screen and naturally react to the conversation with lip-sync, facial expressions, smiling, blinking, and subtle movements.
For example, if the AI says something funny, the character could smile or laugh. If the conversation is serious, the expression could become more neutral.
The goal would be to make Voice Mode feel more like having a natural face-to-face conversation, while still making the experience customizable for each individual user.
Most importantly, users should be able to create their own character, rather than being limited to a few predefined avatars.
I think this could make ChatGPT Voice Mode feel much more personal, expressive, and human-centered.
