CTRL+F no longer works because of aggressive windowing/virtualization. A replacement is needed

CTRL+F has stopped working on ChatGPT web (browser version) because of aggressive windowing/virtualization. The existing search feature searches for conversations that match the query, but we need a feature for searching within a conversation. The way CTRL+F works in a text editor, which is how it used to work for ChatGPT web just a few months ago.

Thanks for clarifying—you need search inside the whole conversation, including parts that aren’t loaded. History search and the newer table of contents don’t fully cover that. We’ll pass along the web Ctrl+F regression and request for full-conversation find; we don’t have a fix timeline to share.
