“Allow users signed into the same account to seamlessly continue conversations and projects across devices, including context, attachments, files and recent working state. Users should not need to manually transfer instructions or files between devices to continue their work.”
I’d add one line:
“The goal is to make ChatGPT a continuous workspace, not just a conversation interface.”
Totally agree. Please add cloud synchronization for Codex Desktop projects, conversations, and session history across devices..
Many developers, including myself, work on multiple computers (Windows and macOS). Currently, local Codex projects and sessions are tied to the device where they were created, making it difficult to continue working from another computer.
Users should be able to sign in with the same OpenAI account and seamlessly access their projects, conversations, and session history from any device, even when the original computer is turned off.
I believe this is a major pain point for developers and would be a valuable improvement to the Codex experience.
Thanks for sharing this. I believe this would make a significant difference to developers working across multiple devices.
One important point is that synchronization should be cloud-based rather than dependent on the original computer being online. Ideally, users should be able to shut down one computer, move to another, sign in, and continue exactly where they left off, including projects, conversations, files, and session history.
Cross-device continuity could become one of Codex’s most valuable features.
