Please add an official, reliable way to synchronize or transfer Codex chats, task history, settings, skills, and attachments between multiple Windows computers and virtual machines.
The system should safely merge chat databases without overwriting or losing conversations, support backups and recovery, detect conflicts, and clearly show the final synchronization result.
Users should not need to manually copy SQLite databases or maintain custom synchronization scripts. Cross-device continuity is essential for people who work on home PCs, work PCs, and virtual machines.

As of the time of writing this post, I had already come up with a solution to transfer the database and other settings by moving the SSD drive from one computer to another. But this solution isn’t convenient, and it sometimes fails. I’d like a good, convenient solution, not these workarounds.
There is a session file locally which got pretty big a couple times.. ~250GB was my biggest. syncing that would have caused some problems I suppose..
They started to work on splitting them up.. but that only makes the chat faster and syncing would still cause problems… I don’t even know if my phone has 250GB free space.
