Created Codex Env; Codex bot: "To use Codex here, create an environment for this repo."

I have code reviews turned on in codex for all of my GitHub repos. For the repo I am using in codex on the web I have an environment created. About 75% of the time I ‘@’ codex in Github it responds with “To use Codex here, create an environment for this repo.”.

I’ve tried creating secondary environment for the same repo, but I still get this error.

I’ve deleted and reconnected Codex Cloud to GitHub, created new environments, and even wiped everything to start fresh with just one environment. I still get the issue on some PRs but not others. Once it breaks in a PR, it’s dead with no way to recover it. The only option is to recreate the same task in Codex and hope it passes GitHub checks, since there’s no guarantee I’ll have access to Codex from GitHub to fix it inside the PR. Supposedly OpenAI uses it all the time on their apps, but apparently we’re the only two people who have this problem. Nice.

Nope I get this too - it works for some repos, but not for others :woman_shrugging:
