Connection Error When Downloading Images from DALL·E 3

Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing an issue when trying to download images generated with DALL·E 3 using the ChatGPT app. I keep getting an error that says: “Network error. Check your Internet connection and try again.”

However, I have a stable internet connection at all times, both via Wi-Fi and mobile data, and I don’t have any data limits.

I have already tried the following solutions:

Closed and reopened the app.

Cleared the cache.

Forced the app to stop.

Updated the app to the latest version.

Checked all permissions, and they are enabled.

I even contacted OpenAI support, but no solution was provided.

Despite all these attempts, the error persists, and I cannot download the images directly. The only way I can save them is by taking a screenshot, which is far from ideal.

I wanted to ask if anyone else is experiencing this issue or if someone knows how to fix it. I’ve tried everything I can think of and I’m out of ideas.

I’ve noticed on some large threads the older images will “go away” after a bit. No error message, but it downloads an empty file.If I refresh the browser, they’re available again for download.

I’m using my mobile, and the browser refresh isn’t working.

I have the same issue on a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. Up to date and with All permissions.

Tried beta and regulär Version still same issue.

My current way around is to share the Chat, open in Chrome and download the image from there.

Yes, I get the same thing. But only on my mobile app and only recently. I can download images from my computer just fine.

Yes, my phone is also a Samsung. It was said they were negotiating; maybe Samsung and OpenAI couldn’t reach good terms. Who knows.
