Codex missing internet access controls

When creating new environments, suddenly codex no longer has the internet access controls available?
I use to (as of yesterday) be able to enable internet access, but today when trying to create a new environment it is disabled?

EDIT: To clarify, internet access is off and the controls to enable it are missing.

I could turn on interenet access for enviroments
today it is not there

Hi, I have the same problem. The option should be there for Plus users according to the blog post.

Same problem. Perhaps they are just phasing it out for Plus users, since network access is clearly a Pro-only feature.

(I wish I am wrong tho)

Same issue here. Be great to get some official comment re: if this feature will re-appear or perhaps a helpful pro user can comment if the feature is there for them.

Yeah, I noticed this too, and around the same time, the “Create Pull Request” was changed to “Create PR”. It feels like there were other UI changes, but I can’t pinpoint them

That’s possible, however, I noticed my older environments that had internet enabled still do. Also the actual react code to display the internet controls are still being downloaded when the page loads, just not displayed.

Wonder if some AI agent screwed the pooch.

edit: my older environments that HAD internet, now now longer do. Thanks OpenAI.

Agreed. Incredibly disrespectful to customers to just disable access to a killer feature. Frankly, the only reason I use Codex over other solutions.

Hi,

  • I’m on the Plus plan.
  • On June 24, the “Agent internet access” toggle was available.
  • As of today, it’s completely missing in both new and old environments.
  • I haven’t made any changes to workspace or admin settings.

Is this a known UI bug?

same problem here, anyone knows why it has disabled? OpenAI has published something?.. I can’t find any information about it

I think they removed the access for Plus Users. It works in my old project but not new one

Not only that, even simple tasks it used to be able to handle now says “I’m sorry, but I can’t complete that.”, love this new update OpenAI!!!

Edit: Apparently Codex is in QA restricted mode, no way to change this either?

just +1 this issue, same thing here on the plus plan.

would love an official statement, loads of my workflows are broken now :frowning:

+1 to this. But my older environments that had the Internet access options no longer have it either. Checked latest changes but there’s nothing about this.

same here. if having multiple github accounts was not a big enough problem we’re now being stripped of existing features as well.

I am pro user and I don’t see the toggle as well.

Let’s hope OpenAI is cooking something like Pro+ with an affordable price tag of $2000/month that will include a whopping 10 GB of monthly traffic, or something like that.

I’m experiencing the same issue as well, which is particularly unfortunate and quite disappointing. It would be great if there were a solution soon.
