ChatGPT Web Search Function disabled. Why?

I am subscribed to chatGPT paid plan and normally the web search function is enabled but today, the web search function is disabled for all new chats even though in my settings it is enabled. Why is web search disabled?

I’m having the same issue, oddly if I sign-out search works perfectly normally

same when i log out or use a different account its all fine

Same with me, if I logout and use it without being logged in search works. If I login to an account I am not paid the search also works. What’s going on?

try this: go to advanced settings, disable canvas. (leave all else enabled: dall-e, code etc.)

then: open new chat, check both search and reason. that worked for me.

did you click ‘Save’ to make sure the unchecking take effect?

Yes I did and I went back and checked and it is unchecked but the web search function still does not work.

I don’t think so, as I said, I can logout of my paid account and use a free account and the web search works.

another thing I would try (risky): go to manage memories. copy everything to text file, locally. then turn off memory or clear, can’t recall this option’s exact caption.

then reinstate memories from local text.

anyway, this shouldn’t be happening at all, so maybe just wait for a fix on their end

I just tested it again, thankfully it’s working here

I had the same problem. I fixed it by simply choosing a different model.
