ChatGPT Voice Input Completely Broken in Specific Threads (Android 1.2025.112)

I’m on Android using version 1.2025.112. Voice input works normally in new threads—but as soon as I return to a specific older thread (in my case, a history project), it breaks completely.

Here’s what happens:

I tap the mic, it listens, shows the waveform.

Then it says “Sending” like it’s working—but immediately reverts to “Listening.”

The message either doesn’t send at all, or randomly appears in a different thread.

Sometimes it just hangs forever with the blinking dot.

Reinstalling, restarting, clearing cache—none of it fixes it.

It only happens in that one thread. Other threads work—for a while—then break too.

This is not a new install issue. This is a runtime thread failure and session-level memory corruption that makes voice unusable.

You need to patch this now. I pay for Plus, and this has wasted hours of my time.

Mine was doing the same, worked for a couple of days, and now after a little while in a new chat the voice input causes all message sending options to disappear. If i exit out and go back in I can type stuff out, but that is not a convenient way to use the app. Ready to cancel at this point honestly.

Same problem here. Doesnt matter if i record 5 seconds or 5 minutes, message doesnt appear as text afterwards. Just empty. Microphone, Image and setting buttons disappear after finishing the voice recording too.

Hopefully there is a fix soon!

Same here. Started about a week ago. Sometimes if I reinstall it, it’ll give me one chat. I spend most of my working time on the road and this has killed my productivity.
