I am a paid ChatGPT Pro user, and multiple serious account-data failures have remained unresolved for more than three weeks.
The failures appear related and affect conversation storage, synchronization, Projects, search, and saved memory.
The main symptoms are:
1. Two important ChatGPT conversations rolled back to older states.
2. Previously visible user messages and assistant responses disappeared.
3. Newly submitted user messages sometimes disappeared. At one point, an assistant response appeared without the corresponding user message.
4. The Android app and web version displayed different content for the same conversation.
5. Conversation search results associated content with the wrong conversation.
6. Existing conversations randomly disappeared from multiple Projects. In some cases, selecting an existing Project conversation opened a new blank chat, after which the original conversation disappeared from the Project list.
7. All previously saved ChatGPT memories disappeared without intentional deletion.
I did not intentionally delete, edit, archive, move, rename, or branch the missing messages, conversations, or saved memories.
Troubleshooting already completed:
- Android app force stop
- cache and app-data clearing
- app deletion and reinstallation
- logout and login
- phone restart
- Chrome Incognito
- Samsung Browser
- model changes
- short-message tests
- archive and unarchive
- title changes
- Android and web comparison
The failures continued after these steps.
OpenAI Support has already received affected Conversation IDs and URLs, screenshots, screen recordings, timestamps, device and browser information, and evidence showing Android/web state differences.
The issue has remained unresolved for more than three weeks. I still have no confirmation that an engineering team with server-side access is preserving or examining the affected data.
I am not requesting more basic troubleshooting.
I need:
1. Review by an OpenAI engineering team with server-side access;
2. Preservation of all recoverable conversation, Project, search-index, synchronization, and saved-memory records;
3. Repair of the two original conversations and restoration of recoverable missing messages;
4. Restoration of recoverable saved memories;
5. A restored copy or portable data file if in-place repair is impossible;
6. A clear written determination if recovery is technically impossible.
I have existing OpenAI Support case numbers and can provide them privately to verified OpenAI staff or moderators.
For privacy reasons, I am not posting my account email, Conversation IDs, conversation URLs, police-related content, recordings, or unredacted screenshots publicly.
Has any other user experienced this combination of rollback, disappearing messages, Android/web state mismatch, Project conversation disappearance, incorrect search associations, and saved-memory loss?
Has anyone successfully recovered the original conversations or memories?
Can an OpenAI staff member or moderator help ensure that the existing support cases receive an actual senior engineering review?
