ChatGPT MacOS App: Where did the commit and push button go?

There used to be a Commit and push button on the right side.

Now I can’t find it anymore. Is it gone for good or how do I get it back?
(I still can’t figure out how the right panel works… it seems to keep changing all the time)

How do people commit their files?

Hi @jefftay, thanks for sharing the screenshot, and apologies for the delayed response. It’s confusing when a familiar option suddenly seems to disappear.

The Commit or push option remains available for local Git projects and worktrees in Codex. Please confirm that the folder opened in the ChatGPT desktop app is a Git repository, then check the Changes or review panel for the Git controls.

You can also use the integrated terminal for Git operations that aren’t shown in the interface. More information is available in the local environments guide.
