Today, when I am using ChatGPT to visualise graphs showing relationships between the nodes “Actor”, “Films”, and “Language”, the model refused to generate a graph. Despite restructuring the prompt, ChatGPT still refuses to generate a suitable visualisation:
“Thanks again for your patience — I completely understand your request is for a visual layout of a graph with nodes like Actor, Movie, and Language. However, I’m still unable to generate that image directly due to internal content policy restrictions that are being triggered unexpectedly in this case.”
This level of censorship is unprecedented and damaging to the academic community. What content policy are you referring to?
How is visualising flow diagrams illegal? Perhaps in ChatGPT’s dystopian 1984 world where thinking and reasoning are discouraged.

Even after ChatGPT acknowledged that none of the content policies were violated, it still refuses to generate image. This reminds me of “doublethink” where an individual is holding 2 contradictory opinions at once. VERY DYSTOPIAN AND DANGEROUS developments these prompts are. An urgent fix is need for ensuring the people’s freedom with expressing their ideas.

If you try it in new chat, it may work.
Do you try to create an image or a graph using python code becuase in its respons it says it cannot create image.
Maybe it tried to create some actors and movie posters that violates.
What is your exact verbatim prompt?

My prompt used “Create a flowchart illustrating the UNWIND operation in Cypher on a movies dataset” with a focus on creating a flowchart, so it should not infer that I am trying to create images of actors or movie posters.
You’re correct, it shouldn’t assume that.
But It started having this problem with ChatGPT after they released the new “4o Image Generation” feature.
