I regularly use ChatGPT and have a paid for account. However, for past 24-hours when I have logged in my entire chat history has disappeared. Furthermore, when I type in the box, nothing happens. Everything freezes. Any ideas why as I don’t know what’s happened. Everything is just blank and I cannot even access my account details etc.
I had the same issue my app version was out of sink with my web browser version. I uninstalled App then cleared browser cache,then I loaded browser and archived my chats ,then I reinstalled app.
This may help.
Clear your browser cache if it is just browser skip the app steps. I use mobile tech most of the time.

Hi! I want to make sure I get this right…lol: My chat is not working on my desktop. Everything has dissapeared (sidebar, account settings etc). I checked my mobile app and everything was there. If I delete my mobile app - on phone & ipad - clear my cmputer cache, and reinstall apps on phone and ipad, my desktop version will restore itself? Thank you so much for your support!

Yes it will right now your app archive is in conflict with desktop…
It has worked for many…
Also I’m just a user that has same issue. Take my advice or not that is up to you I am not OpenAI

Oh, I’m not doubting you. Just want to make sure I’m reading it correctly before I delete my app. I don’t see any other option since I can’t access anything in my account.
It’s simple delete app then clear cache then log back in on desk top archive chats then reinstall app
One more question please. How do I “archive” the chat. I don’t have any controls showing up in my account except the chat box which throws error messages when I type into it. Will an archive option appear after I delete the apps? Thank you again for helping out here!

Use web history archive is in browser it logs you out of everything and removes cookies and old web examples and extensions
I am on a phone right now make sure to not delete your saved passwords if you use that.

Oh sorry I misread that’s how you clear cache archive is in your settings in gpt dashboard under your name circle tag
That is a different error this is for users that can’t log on
Also GPT is down on my end too seems to be a outage

Did you clear cache and archive?
If it don’t work you may have a new issue. But it happens to me often and uninstall app, clear browser cache, log in to ChatGPT on desktop, archive chats and reinstall app works for me .
