Hello everyone, I was wondering if I can upload copyright protected material (i.e. books) to the ChatGPT builder in order to summarise and help me understand the text.
I only plan to use the Chat Bot for myself but not sure how are the rules in this case.
It is fine to do that if it is for personal use only, and it will not be shared with anyone else. Deviating from that to any degree would result in potential copyright issues if you do not own that IP material.
So, yes, if it’s private and just to help you summarize as a personal tool, you’re okay.
