Can ChatGPT 4o Canvas bug report on itself?

In canvas mode I encounter lots of bugs. ChatGPT says it can report them and when I tell it to report the current situation to the devs, it says it does.

Does it though? Would be a really nice feature, because creating such a bug report myself with all the necessary context seems very hard to me.

Are all the failed updates logged somewhere and get reviewed, so bug reports are not necessary at all?

I’d really like to see this feature thrive, but it has a lot of annoyances as it is right now.

Hi @petergrabs

Welcome :people_hugging: to the community!

Currently, ChatGPT does not directly report bugs or log feedback to developers when you ask it to.

If you encounter bugs in canvas model or any other models, the best way to ensure they are addressed is to report them yourself.

To provide feedback:

  • Click the thumbs-down icon.
  • Choose the feedback type.
  • Add details by selecting “More…” if needed.
  • Submit the report for review.

Also on this forum, as you are doing now, you can report it selecting Bugs Category in your post.

Ask yourself this. If your company created and runs one of the largest and best LLMs around would you have people read logs? Would you instead use the technology to read the logs and possibly implement changes in a couple of ways and then pick the winner and repeat?
