If the bug is that the panel window is just not showing up (and not that you type a query and GPT doesn’t respond), I have the same issue. The bug however is that when you use multiple spaces (Apple’s Mission Control), the panel will always only open on the space it was first opened on. Once you hit the shortcut after that from a different space, it will show but only on that initial space, ergo, you won’t see it.
From a developer’s POV, I’d say if the window was properly closed and not hidden, it would correctly open on your current space (like all other applications). Currently, this means you can’t really use the shortcut panel if you have multiple desktops.
