Better memory management tools

I don’t know if this is already addressed (i couldn’t find anything searching), but I’m running into serious friction trying to selectively manage my saved memories. When memory is full, parsing through 100 separate entries one-by-one, confirming each deletion individually, is an insanely frustrating and inefficient experience.

If ChatGPT has the permissions to create memories automatically, then it should also have the ability to delete them upon explicit request — especially when the request is clear and tied to a subject, theme, or conversation thread.

At minimum, there should be:

  • :white_check_mark: A multi-select interface to delete or archive memories in bulk
  • :white_check_mark: The ability to sort by last accessed / last referenced
  • :white_check_mark: A way to group or filter memories by topic or project (e.g., “V2 Portal”, “Masterclass”, “Flag Football”)

Ideally, I should also be able to say something like:

“Forget all memories related to my V2 portal project except the masterclass planning.”

…and have ChatGPT act accordingly. Right now, that’s not possible — and the manual effort required defeats the productivity gains memory is supposed to provide.

This current “all or nothing” management flow isn’t built for long-term users with actual workflows. Please consider building a proper Advanced Memory Management mode. Power users need tools to clean up and manage memory at scale.
