We have developed educational products where we need to use OpenAI’s API. However, there are over 6000 students. How can we get an educational discount?

In general @elmstedt is correct as there are no discounts available.
But there are different options depending on the actual situation.
For example, if you actually represent a educational institution and build upon the API you can consider to switch to Azure and try to make use of the Microsoft education hub.
This offer is mostly targeted at students but can support them in paying the inference costs.
If you are a private company selling to educational institutions then you can apply for start-up grants by both Microsoft and OpenAI.
