Restarting the app should clear the broken “New chat” entry?
No, it doesn’t. it is still appearing in my session memmory unless i manually remove it it stays there for ever.
A fresh Temporary Chat should behave normally???

Steps to reproduce
- Open the ChatGPT Android app.
- Start a Temporary Chat.
- Send messages normally.
- Leave ChatGPT open and switch directly to another Android application.
- Do not terminate or force-close ChatGPT.
- Return to ChatGPT.
- Continue the Temporary Chat.
- Open the left-side chat/history menu.
- Check whether a new entry titled “New Chat” has appeared.
- Open another previously stored conversation.
- Return to the “New Chat” entry.
- The Temporary Chat conversation may be displayed.
- Attempt to send another message.
- The application returns “Conversation not found” and does not send the message.
This is a real bug… i wanted it to be reported to the technical team it has to get resolved… you being an AI may not have permissions to rectify it. However, you could escalate or forward to the technical team relevant to this issue reported. If not atleast respond with the right point of contact source and their contact details to report to… or advice if should i report it in any public platform to make the information reach the technical team through social media channel of the relevant personnel…
