Adding Multi-Select Boxes to Chat List

Not sure if this forum is really for ideas for the app, but in ChatGPT, having to manually select each individual chat when moving over to a project (or cleaning/deleting) is tedious and would be made so much better with the addition of multiple selection.

Unless there’s an easier way someone knows?

Just a thought.

I think you ask them too much. One button costs them billions… multiple buttons are madness → it’ll make Elon Musk double his bid on OpenAI. :laughing:

A few days ago, there was a riot here over the disappearance of the Edit Button. :joy:

Welcome to the community @ShawnH80 and great suggestion! I tagged it with feature-request and will flag it to the leaders. I don’t think there is any easier way - currently you can either just drag that chat into the project (the fastest) or click on the three dots and select “Add to project”.

I agree with platypus:

  • It would be definitely very helpful to move several chats at once.
  • It would also be helpful if we could move chats of Custom GPTs also into projects, which is not possible
  • etc.

Managing multiple chats in ChatGPT really can be tedious without bulk operations.

By the way, the bulk selection should be available for both the chat sidebar and search results for easier management.
