I appreciate the continuous improvements in the ChatGPT app, making it more efficient and user-friendly. However, I have a feature suggestion that could improve user experience significantly.
Currently, when a user closes and reopens the app, the default behavior is to either open a new chat or return to the last session (depending on how the app was last used). There is no explicit option for users to decide whether they want to continue their last conversation or start a fresh one when they reopen the app.
Suggested Solution:
Introduce a simple pop-up button when the app restarts, giving users two options:

“Resume Last Chat” – Opens the last conversation exactly where the user left off.

“Start New Chat” – Begins a fresh conversation immediately.
Why This Feature is Useful?
Some users may want to continue an important discussion without searching through chat history.
Others may prefer a new chat every time they restart the app.
This ensures user control over their experience and avoids unnecessary extra steps.
This small but impactful feature would make the ChatGPT app more user-friendly and efficient. I hope you consider adding this in a future update!
