The OpenAI Team

I’ve been refunded for an invoice of March (why… now…?) and October.

I don’t know why. The only thing that could be a explaination is that the name I used when I created my account is different from the name related to the credit card I use.

I’ve spent 1 week contacting the support and I have the feeling of talking to a bot, not humans. More, they are UNABLE to tell me exactly what’s going on and why.

I think that there are a lot of people in the same case as me.

I’m on the same boat.
I’m getting the same message from support for more than 10 days: We are unable to reinstate your account at this time; we will investigate further.

No more feedback or support was provided.

I got the same Issue you described, I received an Email whith the same content.

I have perhaps something like this issue. My account was deactivated a few days ago without explanation beyond “violation of terms of service” or “usage agreement”.
This is the midst of two things. In mid Nov seems someone who speaks/types Mandarin had somehow gotten in to my accounts and/or I was seeing someone else’s chats (like chat log cross talk). This eventually when away.
Then I had unexplained charges on my CC account that appeared to be openai, but I saw no associated Dall-E2 usage api usage (at all been zero for months).

I am in contact with Open AI. They indicate they do not recognize the charges.

I talked to my bank and indicated the specific charges that were odd, a $259 and a $52 (from memory) not the usually monthly ChatGPT+ fee.

I see the charges that “appeared to be openai” refunded to my account.

A week or so after that my account is deactivated without explanation, no mention of due to charges etc. I did not cancel the card (perhaps I should), bank said no need and they were watching account.
It is still (or was) the CC on record with openai, but without explanation? I’m not sure its for this reason at all.

The Mandarin cross talk (breakin?) was many months ago. (I’ve changed my password frequently since, and I can’t tell if that is what is bothering “the system”). Its just poor customer service from openai. Something that is making me unable to trust it, and seek other solutions.
