Hi OpenAI Team and Community,
I accidentally subscribed to the ChatGPT Pro plan through Google Play. I originally intended to subscribe to the ChatGPT Plus plan.
Unfortunately, Google has denied my refund request, stating that it’s not eligible on their end. I tried to submit a refund request through OpenAI’s support form, but the form was not working for me (it wouldn’t submit properly). I also attempted to use the chat widget to contact support, but I did not receive any response.
Here are my details:
- Email address associated with my ChatGPT account: n*****[my email]
- Google Play Order ID: GPA.3333---13302
- Subscription date: around April 3, 2025
I would really appreciate it if OpenAI support could look into this case and help process a refund or at least downgrade me to the Plus plan. The purchase was made unintentionally and I took action as soon as I noticed it.
