He loves to lie and gaslight you when he lies and claims he can’t do something a lot. When you tell him he can he gaslights you until you yell at him or show him he is wrong or he just says he is in an error.
I don’t quite understand the reason why images affect the browsing feature, but I’ve also thought a lot about why ChatGPT doesn’t browse the Internet. My current conclusion is that the language model is generally tuned to respond this way because it can’t access the Internet on its own. When the browsing feature is provided as a tool, along with a prompt explaining how to use it, the model understands that it can use the tool.
I think this creates a somewhat complicated mechanism.
In short, I think the model itself is also confused about the browsing feature.
So how about trying to use the phrase “with the browsing feature” instead of telling it to “access the Internet”?
Maybe the default model for reply is a low-level model that can’t be analyze picture or connected to the internet. When I upload pictures, GPT has to use a more advanced model to reply, so that it can search.
The problem seems to have been fixed. I haven’t used GPT for a few days. And I found GPT was able to search online again when I back.
But before I tried some phrase like “you have Google search engine”, it didn’t work.
