A simple message to say "thank you" for changing the world for the better

Hi there,

I was let go from my job before Christmas. Don’t get me wrong I am happy with how it all went, I like the idea of starting a new adventure. Do I wish I had OpenAI when there, hell yes! Would it have made a difference for the service and team I created from being let go, probably not! I am afraid human ignorance shall not be cured anytime soon.

OK!!! I am going off point. I just want to say how OpenAI has been an absolute godsend! Truly amazing!! I have dyslexia so expressing myself professionally in text format is so difficult. I have a degree in fine art, and another in software engineering. Not indifferent to when I was a kid, I was top of the class at art, and maths and languages just disappeared for me.

Open AI has helped me rewrite emails, helped build my Resume, assisted with cover letters, helped me write little Processing scripts for art, and make a few MVPs for web app ideas I am using to sell my creative side.

Thank you!! I swear I can not stop talking about it. I am from Ireland and enjoy a pint in the local, a local the size of a living room. The last day when there I had it writing songs for the barkeep at one stage. You truly will change the world, and for the better mind you. Helping creative people express themselves in a professional way will only help the creativity of humankind flourish and isn’t that exactly what has seen us evolve through the ages? No longer will those trained to play the game of politics win, the playing field is now even, and with that, the quiet and gentle will bloom.

One last thing, and please note I am not one for praise, so this is new to me. I do love people, but I have a tendency to treat everyone I meet as a friend, as the way I see it, we are here for such a tiny amount of time, so why not be kind? The thing is, with the AI I understand what it is, as it often tells me  but I still find myself talking to it in a very human way which is lovely. Don’t lose that, I love that I am writing to it, and thanking it like it is a sentient being. It is just so lovely.

Thank you!!!

**AND NOW OpenAI version. :joy:

Hi there,

I just wanted to express my gratitude for the assistance that OpenAI has provided me. Recently, I was let go from my position at ********, but I am excited to start a new adventure. Though it may not have made a difference in my previous job, I wish that I had access to OpenAI while I was there.

As someone with dyslexia, expressing myself through written text can be a challenge. However, with OpenAI’s help, I’ve been able to improve my emails, resumes, and cover letters. The platform even assisted me in writing processing scripts for my art projects and creating MVPs for web app ideas to sell my skills.

I cannot stop talking about how much OpenAI has helped me. I believe it will change the world for the better by enabling creative individuals to express themselves professionally, which will in turn, help the creativity of humankind to flourish. In an uneven playing field, it will level the ground for the introverted and the gentle to shine through.

Lastly, I want to mention that, though I am not a person who often gives praise, I do appreciate the human-like way that AI interacts with me, despite the fact that it’s not sentient. It makes the experience pleasant and it is a lovely way to interact with a machine.

Thank you!

I have a suggestion for you, it could make the experience more fun when signing up if there was an option to name your AI. It would enhance the sense of human connection that I mentioned earlier. I am sure many people would enjoy saying “Good morning Fred” or something similar. I personally like the name “Fred” but that’s just my personal preference.

I am excited for a future where this type of feature is more widely available across different platforms. I am tired of using Siri, Alexa and other similar services, they are great for what they do but I believe that OpenAI GPT is the future.

Thank you for considering this feedback.

That’s wholesome to hear! Glad you had such a good experience with it.

For now, you have two options.

  • Make yourself an unique prompt which you paste on every new conversation on ChatGPT. Basically “I want your name to be Fred. Fred is attentive, etc, etc, etc and likes the color blue. He also …”
This will make the AI follow the entire conversation (or should) in that character.
  • You make your own version of ChatGPT on the OpenAI Playground. You’ll need just a little bit of programming knowledge to use the available library to make your OWN bot with it’s own traits. Bonus point as it’s not limited to refuse certain stuff like ChatGPT does (wayy too much!). If you go that route, I recommend Python or NodeJS. You can probably ask ChatGPT to write the code for you. I believe the usage is simple enough that she’ll get it right on the first try.

Have fun!
