Ran a test using Chat GPT 3.5 using a pre-made script, I tested when setting it up by asking a few random questions, it worked…less than 2 minutes later I am on to the next task, a few days later, I get a message that my initial $5 limit has been used up… Went in an a user was on for about 2 mins and between that and my test…$5 gone! The author of the script showed me how he usually goes through $7 a month… with A LOT more traffic than my 2 users… am I doing something wrong? are others finding this as well? I wish to include the AI but as I will be offering the site free, I can not afford $5 for every 2 users…
Welcome, @nexxterra …
Sounds like your API key has been compromised. Were you embedding the API key on the client side?
I would immediately revoke all your keys.
There was no compromise, It may have been my choice of what API level I chose… looking into it, however, the Irony of offering a product people can use to seek help offers zero assistance with help on its own products…
Ah, if you’re sure you’ve not been compromised, that’s good.
You can always check your usage here…

There’s a new Usage API too if you search the forum a bit.
Good luck!
Don’t be using play-by-play video tutorials. The pace of AI has been advancing rapidly and even things released a month ago can be potentially outdated.
You’re using an outdated model that is very expensive for no benefit.
Nope, that would be insane. There is something seriously wrong with the script that you used, and we can’t help at all without seeing anything.
I would highly recommend learning about LLMs in general and spend time reading documentation instead of YouTube videos.
Once you have a decent grasp on the fundamental concepts it’ll be a good time to try again
