3 major bugs in ChatGPT that seriously affect my workflow

I’ve been using ChatGPT extensively since de beginning, and lately I’ve encountered three major bugs that are seriously affecting my workflow. I wanted to share them here to see if anyone else has experienced the same issues or if there are any solutions:

1. Audio transcriptions fail and delete the message
• Sometimes, when I send a voice message, the transcription fails, and the entire message just disappears. It’s not just a bad transcription—it gets completely erased, and all the information is lost.
• This is especially frustrating when I send long, in-depth audios where I’m really thinking things through. I’ve lost hundreds of hours of important thoughts because of this bug, and it’s genuinely tragic.
• I’ve already posted about this issue on the community, and many other people are experiencing the same problem. Despite this, I still haven’t received any help. I even reached out to people from OpenAI on X, and they still haven’t been able to fix this bug. I think this is critical.

2. Custom Instructions won’t update
• Every time I try to change my Custom Instructions, they just revert back to the previous version. No matter what I do, the changes don’t save.
• I’ve tried updating them from my phone, my computer, different browsers… nothing works. I have no idea how to fix this.

3. Data export never arrives
• I’ve attempted to export all my conversations and data multiple times, but I never receive the email with the download link.
• I’ve tried this on different devices and over a long period of time, but the email just never comes.

These bugs are seriously affecting my experience, and I’d really appreciate any help or advice. Has anyone else faced these issues?

Custom Instructions saved just fine for me as of today.

As for losing messages, I’ve experienced a bug where clicking on the message as it’s being typed out by the GPT deletes it immediately. It’s so frustrating, and I feel your pain.

I have had these three exact issues for months now too. Last successful data export was December, but I’ve tried well over 10 times at very different intervals and different platforms, and it is still persisting. The worst of it for me imo is the data export not working as now I can’t do meta analysis. It’ll be a lot to sift through once they fix it…if they fix it…
