After minimally using the new o1-Preview model, as a ChatGTP Plus user, I had my access to the aforementioned model suspended, on the grounds that I had reached the usage limit and could return to using it on September 20, 2024.
Furthermore, OpenAI seem to have no problem telling us EVERY time we open a new chat that
“You’ve hit the Plus plan limit for o1-preview.
Responses will use another model until your limit resets September 23, 2024.”
Seems a little OTT, given they wouldn’t even tell us that there was a limit at all beforehand.
Consider making your post with the X post a new topic and pinning it so others know the limits have been increased.
While some of us saw it here many will not read this topic and don’t have access to X to check. The info was also not posted in the OpenAI FAQ page or as an OpenAI news item.
It would be nice if GPT could be trained to answer questions like this. When I asked about whether the limits for o1-preview reset weekly, 4-o mistook my question and replied that the API usage resets monthly and is available via the OpenAI account dashboard.
I assume this limit applies only during the Preview phase. I wish I could see how many entries/questions I have left. Last time, I only got warned when I was close to the limit. It’s too easy to fly through the allotted number of entries/questions/posts when building an iOS app together. I can’t remember if the limit is per week or per month. Either way, that’s like a lifetime of waiting for someone with ADHD!
Since I have the “memory” feature turned on, it seems like 4o should have access to o1 Chats. It does not. It’s great that 4o knew that - “I don’t have access to your ChatGPT o1-Preview conversations or any chats that are part of other systems.”
I did not obtain any official information about increasing the capacity of the GPT PLUS tool in terms of use. If you can provide information from a reliable source, feel free.
