One feature that was implemented a few months ago that i was looking for was Remote Connections . I’ve used this a lot when i am away from my desktop and i can use my phone to keep working on some projects. However, i would also like to use this from my laptop but i do not see the option “Control other Devices” anywhere (app is up-to-date).
For what i understand on the documentation, this is available for Mac and windows. Is this geo-locked (i’m from Portugal)?
I understand there is a “Git” to post issues found however, at least on my side, i see that git as a bug reporting tool than a troubleshooting forum; hence posting the query here.
That distinction makes sense. In addition to its issue tracker, the official OpenAI Codex repository has GitHub Discussions enabled, including a Q&A category that may be more appropriate for Codex-specific troubleshooting questions.
The issue tracker is generally better suited to reproducible bug reports and feature requests.
If the issue is still unresolved, according to the official Remote Connections documentation, the Control other devices feature is supported on Mac and Windows where available, although availability may vary by rollout.
Since your app is already up to date, please try fully closing and restarting it, then checking Settings → Connections → Control other devices.
Also, make sure both devices are signed in to the same ChatGPT account and workspace. If you're using a managed workspace, your administrator may need to enable Remote Control access.
Regarding your question about Portugal, feature availability may vary by rollout, but I can't confirm whether your location is the reason the option is missing.
If the option remains unavailable after these checks, further investigation may be needed.
Good afternoon Aish,
It is working now. I believe it was a rollout situation for Portugal.
Now i am waiting for Dots but - again - EEUA rollout delay. I know companies love EU paperwork
