Who wants to monetize their plugin?

Hey!

At pluginlab.ai we develop a solution that helps you to integrate authentication + analytics for your plugins in a snap.

We also have Plugin Monetization in our roadmap.

However, due to recent OpenAI policy changes, we can’t develop a payment portal anymore (see: Update to plugin monetization policy? - #4 by logankilpatrick)

However, it seems plugins like Zapier are still running. Even though their plugin is free, their service supports paid subscriptions.

For this reason, we are still planning to develop everything that could help plugin creator to monetize their service, even though we’ll not integrate any plugin paywall system based flow.

So we would like to know if some of you are planning to monetize your plugin/API in any way.

If yes, feel free to share how you are planning/willing to do it.

This feedback could help us create the best service for you to handle payment/subscriptions and protection of your plugin paid-endpoints with ease

Hey Rod, would you be open to a discussion about monetization?
Thx

Hi Axel,

Which one or ones are you interested in?

Regards,

Rod

Thank you Axel. Yes. I am interested in having a discussion about monetization.

OpenAI is working hard on revenue sharing, but it’s not generally available yet, for more information you can check the following link:

Trying to monetize your plugin/GPT without OpenAI’s blessings may cause it to be removed from the store.

I have to disagree - they have made it painfully clear that they are supporting this throught actions. It would be beyond hypocritcal if they did not - but in real time righr now people are monetizing their GPTs already.

Even from a different perspective it does not take 2 years to create that system when you partner with the biggest payment processor in the world.

Disagree all you want, you statement is wrong, OpenAI have made it painfully clear that they are NOT supporting this throught actions.

Not sure why you are very upset with a different perpsective, but :+1: Your the leader.

I’m not upset by different perspectives, but most of the message you’re quoting is written by someone who went ahead and created a monetization system for plugins after being told that OpenAI’s policies don’t allow this.

This is the only part of the message that you should be concerned about:
