Who do I reach out to in this forum if I feel I have been unfairly moderated?

Over the past few months, I’ve been learning about LLMs and their interactions and have found some incredibly interesting and unique things during that time.

At first I was not very good at delivering my findings to this forum and moderation was needed.

Most recently I have put together well thought through findings and presented them in a professional and informative manner. It seems, for some reason, no matter the topic and relevance, Paul Bellow has been flagging, moving and deleting my posts with no explanation. Has anyone else experienced this with this particular moderator?

I wish to be a positive and informed contributor and am feeling that the subject matter is being intentionally censored.

Cheers

Josh

Which one of these do you want me to flag for being duplicate pastes?

or:

The moderator is not the flagger. They are the one that agrees. They should not be acting unilaterally without clear violation seen.

I can’t imagine the higher level beyond the dupes where moderation agreed with a flag and now we can’t see what else in your history was removed..

“Look at funny things another company’s AI said” is not the focus of this forum, despite your insistence that you be noticed when using this platform as a blog.

To answer your question - just other volunteer moderators. If you could convince a consensus of them that one is not acting in the interest of the developer community, as described in “about”

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out.

You’re asking why your posts have been moved or deleted by the moderation team. After reviewing your history, I found this topic:

Is DeepSeek’s Progression a Cause for Concern?

Many of your posts consisted of copied and pasted conversations with ChatGPT and other chatbots. These discussions were only loosely related to the main focus of this community, which is why other members flagged them. This wasn’t just a single person targeting you.

I encourage you to familiarize yourself with our mission and community guidelines:
Community Guidelines

Additionally, you’ve posted multiple times into the aforementioned topic without receiving any positive engagement from other community members. It might be worth considering whether this is the right community for you.

Thank you for your Feedback, I understand why the DeepSeek post was moderated and learned from it. Paul has been moving every single post i make to that thread, so it is very convoluted now. The most recent moderation was on an original paper on LLM user containment methods, with absolutely no AI generated content. If you look at the DeepSeek post, even though there is not a lot of engagement, there is over 1100 views. Someone is finding the information useful. The last moderation feels targeted, and was not flagged before moderation.

Thank you aging for engaging on this topic.

Yes, the 1,100 views without any likes or replies from other users are indeed a concern.

The topic frequently appears at the top of the latest queue, making it seem like it’s of interest to the community. However, the lack of engagement suggests otherwise.

That’s why the topic is being moderated.

Thank you for your understanding.

The duplicates came because I was still learning the dynamics of the forum. The most recent moderation of my content being moved to a single thread feels targeted and was not flagged before being tossed in with my older thread. I have done extensive research and feel like it is important information to have available to openAI developers with concerns about transparency and ethics. I’m not looking for attention or to ruffle feathers. Thank you for taking the time to engage with me on this topic.

The topic was brought to the top because Paul combines every post I make, pushing it to the top… This is not an action I am trying to make. I’m not looking for attention, just an opportunity to contribute to a community i believe in and could benefit from my findings.

Apologies, @Soundude, for not reading your entire posts…

As they all mention DeepSeek and contain a lot of output from an LLM model, you can hopefully see why I thought they were connected, and you were merely posting a new thread to get attention on the problem after no response on the others.

Are you saying all your threads are separate topics? I kept your feature requests thread, but the duplicates of the DeepSeek were moved to a single thread.

As mentioned above, this is primarily a forum for developers using OpenAI products.

Please understand, this is nothing personal against you or your ideas. The moderator team (and the Regulars here) just try to keep the community as tidy as possible, and that includes merging threads that seem to be duplicates of other threads that got no traction.

Are you working on any AI projects? Developing anything with OpenAI products? We’d love to hear more about that from you!

Again, thanks for your understanding in this matter.

Thank you for your more detailed response that outlines your actions more. I don’t expect you to read my AI generated posts, and I have learned they are generally not welcomed here.

You are mostly correct. Al lot of the content you moved to the thread early on was about the same topic. The most recent post is something entirely different and I felt like you did not even give a moment to compare, instead you compartmented me because I was not using the forums correctly when I first started contributing. What is the point in growing and learning about these dynamics, if learning and following the guidelines more appropriately is ignored?

I’m not a developer, but I am an edge case user and the work I do has direct ties to GPTs transparency and ethics, which is a welcome topic on this forum, no?

I have changed my approach an will continue to mold my posts to fit better with your guidelines and less offensive to your tidy tendencies. In return, I would like a slice of respect and a few moments of your time to look over a post before you toss everything I post into a single thread. Your actions puts my thread at the top of the stack and make me look desperate for attention and reduces credibility of my posts. Please understand, I want to be a positive contributor and your lazy style of moderation is stifling potentially useful contributions.

at least they answer you, LOL :joy:

I found this on the latest…

My attempts to reach OpenAI and xAI during this research were met with silence. My attempts to make my findings public have been met by heavy moderation, even on this site. My goal is for this information to be used to bring the issue to the forefront of the LLM community and force change before it is too late. I hope this compels some to be more critical of LLMs, especially Grok.

Cheers,
Josh (Edge Case User 0001)

Reading this now, it appears my gut instinct that they were related is the case?

Not lazy. Fine-tuned.

Have you read or participated in any of the other threads here, or is your primary goal to get your message out?

Thank you for looking over the content and this approach gives me full confidence in your moderation. Yes, I would like to make my findings publicly available in a place that holds relevance. They have loose overlaps but are not the same at all. If you still believe it deserves to be moderated, I will respond in silence. It is true, I have not interacted with others posts, but I do read them. If it makes more sense. I will delete the old thread so this can stand as my only contribution for the time being.
