I mainly use Claude Code $200 as a heavy user coder and also have ChatGPT Plus for research and because I prefer ChatGPT as my main chatbot and for research. i am considering upgrading to Pro plan, but the only thing preventing me from doing so is Codex CLI’s functionality. I feel that it still needs to be better optimized to use with GPT-5 and also I do not know how much usage I would get with GPT-5-Pro or GPT-5-high to see if it fits my needs. When using GPT-5 medium reasoning with my Plus account the model feels underwhelming compared to Claude Sonnet thinking some tiems but always against Opus 4.1 It is really dissapointing and it has been prventing me from risking $200 for a mediocare service which cannot see images still and does not search web or at least it did not do it for me.
